The Principality has no runway, so nearly every visitor to Monaco lands at Nice Côte d’Azur first. The final thirty kilometres can be a pleasure rather than a chore: a chauffeur collects you at arrivals and drops you at your door in Monte-Carlo, Fontvieille or La Condamine.
Flying in soon? Routes on our list have a fixed fare; anything else is priced on request.
The ride from the terminal to the Principality
Monaco is built on a hillside, with tight streets and very little parking. Your chauffeur knows the lifts, the tunnels and the hotel forecourts. In a Mercedes E-Class (four passengers) the fare starts at €90; in a V-Class (seven passengers) at €120. That is per vehicle, agreed before you travel. For every other way to make the trip, read our Nice airport to Monaco guide.
On the day you land
Share your flight number when you reserve. We watch the arrival, so an early or late landing changes nothing for you. Your chauffeur stands in the arrivals area with your name on a sign and takes care of the cases.
Practical points for Monaco
- Many buildings have entrances on several levels: tell us which one you use.
- Dinner in Monte-Carlo? Reserve the ride back at the same time.
- The old town on the Rock is largely pedestrian: we agree a drop-off point with you.
- A day of meetings or visits works best with hourly hire: €70 an hour in E-Class, €90 in V-Class, three hours minimum.
- Child seats on request.
Carrying on to Menton or Italy
Menton is a short hop further east: Nice to Menton starts at €110 (E-Class) or €140 (V-Class). Our Nice–Monaco chauffeur page lists more routes, and Nice to St Tropez by private driver covers the western end of the coast.
